Choosing Your Kind of Evening
Counter Omakase or the dining room: two ways to enjoy the kitchen, with a different rhythm at each.

The best seat depends on the evening you want. Some visits are about watching the chef and following a sequence of dishes. Others are about a long conversation, sharing plates and choosing what comes next. Sushi Sagara offers space for both.
At the counter
Counter Omakase puts the chef’s selection at the centre of the meal. You sit close to the final preparation and receive each piece as part of a sequence. It suits guests who are curious about the craft and happy to leave the order to the kitchen.
You do not need to be a sushi expert to take a seat. Tell us about dietary requirements when you request your reservation, ask questions when you wish, and enjoy the changes from one course to the next.
In the dining room
The dining room gives you more choice in how to build a meal. You can order à la carte, sharing cold plates, grilled dishes, sushi and rice, or choose Dining Room Omakase. Your server can help balance the dishes around your appetite.
This can be a comfortable setting for a conversation that becomes the centre of the evening. Choose a few favourites, try something unfamiliar, and let the kitchen’s range unfold across the table.
A little planning helps
Check the current menu and booking information before choosing. If you are arranging dinner for someone else, consider how they like to eat as well as what they enjoy. And if you are unsure which setting suits your plans, contact us. A brief conversation can make the choice much easier.
